I am the one standing between my two daughters.  People often define themselves by what they do or who they know.  I choose to define myself by the family of love that I carry in my heart day and night.  My name is Patty Juster.  I have been married 36 years to a wonderful husband and together we have four amazing children.  Two of them are married and we have four grandchildren from these precious children.  Another will be married in January.  The love and intimacy we share as a family is deep and lasting.  If I had my way we would all live within walking distance and enjoy the routine of life day after day together.  However, by the end of this year my husband and I will have traveled over 100,000 miles.  Why?  Because we have chosen to obey a voice from someone we cannot see but is more real than the lives we can touch here on earth.  His love enslaves us, frees us and compels us.  We can do no other.  Our journey has been long and hard and our “limp” is noticeable.  There have been many tears and sometimes we have despaired of life itself, but I am here to say through this blog that it has been worth it all.  Like Frodo in Lord of the Rings we have been given a charge…something we have not chosen but for which we have been apprehended.  May we prove faithful and complete the race with joy.  To find out about the “what we do” part of our story, you can log into our website: www.tikkunministries.org
